Being the worlds biggest computer manufacturer worldwide you can expect that with the launch of Windows 7 they wouldn’t leave Europe in the dark. And that’s right as the company has two new models that are heading to Europe.
The dv3-2200 will be available in Germany and the UK for £799.99 / €899 while the dm1-1000 (which is currently listed at €499) will be sporting a 1.2GHz Celeron processor and of course the long anticipated Windows 7 OS.
The former machine sports an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 2.2GHz and 2 MB L2-Cache as well as 4GB of RAM and an half a terabyte hard drive as well as a Lightscribe Super Multi DVD burner.
3 USB 2.0 ports come standard (one sporting eSATA) and 13.3 High-Definition LED BrightView Widescreen display with 1366 x 768 pixels to boot, and get this, the screen is multitouch. Graphic options are listed with NVIDIA GeForce G 105M and wireless technologies are listed as Intel 802.11a/g/n.
Currently we’re seeing availability listed as current so for those of you who need a new system and are interested in giving Windows 7 and the whole multitouch idea a try you can head over to HP’s website and pick one up. Details are listed below.
So guess what Motorola loving UK fans? The DROID is coming to Europe. That’s right; courtesy of Vodafone and o2 wireless, the device will be available on November 9 2009 for the totally reasonable price of just €404.20 to corporate customers.
The only major difference between the MILESTONE and the Verizon version (DROID) is the cellular technology (MILESTONE will be GSM) and the exclusion of Google Maps in exchange for MOTONAV which Motorola boasts sports turn-by-turn directions just like the Google Maps version.
Some of the major features you can expect from the device include Android 2.0, an updated browser that now includes pinch to zoom just like the iPhone and Palm Pre, multitouch, full QWERTY keyboard with 5 way directional pad.
The capacitative multitouch screen is 3.7 inches (0.2 bigger then the iPhone) and sports 480×854 pixels (WVGA). Running the show is one of the most powerful processors we’ve seen on an Android phone ever. Thanks to the Arm Cortex A8 CPU which boasts 550MHz (downclocked from 600MHz), you can expect to get great gaming performance from the device as well as smooth animations etc. While the performance might not be on par in all areas as the Pre or iPhone, it is still a worthy opponent. Wrapping things up is a 5 megapixel camera that sports an LED flash and can shoot videos as well.
In case you missed it, the device will be for €404.20 and lands on November the 9th.
